Bikes and petsBikes board first for a small surcharge. Leashed pets ride the car deck. All terminals are step-free.
How do ferry waits work?

There is no wait-time number like an airport. You wait for space on the next sailing, so the question is whether the next boat has room, which the board above shows.

How early should I arrive?

Off-peak, 10 to 15 minutes is plenty. For a Friday evening westbound run, be in the holding lanes 20 to 30 minutes early.

Do I need a reservation?

Only the San Juan Islands and Port Townsend routes take vehicle reservations. Everything else is first come, first served.
